Project Description:
The hand is a unique feature of human beings. It carries meanings such as existence, and humanity, as well as a symbol for the connections between individuals. Through different gestures, we can convey rich emotions and meanings.

I started the drawing series "Unreachable Destination" after my experience learning rock climbing in Joshua Tree. In this context, the hand serves as a recurring symbol representing the connection between human body and nature. To me, hand symbolizes the process of self-awareness and self-discovery, including emotions like courage, risk, strength, and the uncertainty of the future.

For my online exhibition at New Art City, I adapted my wax pastel works into a series of virtual sculptures. These sculptures are placed among a unique 3D landscape where the figure-ground relationship is redefined, and the figure becomes part of the landscape.
